I'm home, folks! It was a wonderful experience. I got to renew relationships with several people who are dear to me. Unfortunately, pictures were not allowed in some of the most significant places I went. Several of the kids I worked with two years ago have been fostered out or passed away, but most of them were still around. It was so beautiful to be with them again - especially to see the amazing progress a few of them have made. Some of the friends from the city were still around, and it was a lot of fun to spend a little time with them, too (see the second picture). It was harder to say goodbye this time than the first, it seems - probably because I don't think I'm going back again. In all, it was an awesome experience. We'll see if I have time to blog about more details in the next week or so (I get to make up 10 days' worth of work and school when starting in the morning).

It looks like it was a great trip! I can't wait to hear even more! Good luck on catching up!
My favorite part was definitely when I got to see you. You, my friend, are so wonderful and I love you very much.
feathersky - thanks, i'm gonna need all the luck i can get :)
and yes, i felt really tall most of my time in romania. even the faculty member i was traveling with was a full 4-6 inches shorter than me...
piqpar! that part was one of my favorites, too! in the words of bono, 'you RAWK!' and i love you to pieces.
Thanks for commenting on my illusive blog. I do appreciate it more than I show. Glad to hear you are back, but sad that you feel you may never go back. Maybe its the truth though, I don't know, but leaving a place permanently sounds really painful to me.
I love the photograph of you in the sun against all those apartment buildings (at least thats what I assume they are).
You being taller than everyone is really funny, they would probubly die if they saw me there. Ha ha ha. Really, though, I am glad that you went.
there are actually a couple of guys in the branch there as tall as you. who'da thunk? yes, those are apartment blocs. have a great day, brock.
