Nathan is filling a route in Illinois this week, and Timber is helping with the stake youth trek, so I'm watching the kiddos today through Saturday. After Timber left this morning, Nathaniel started throwing fits left and right, and Jenacy had an atomic meltdown. This afternoon Nathaniel had another fit, and he and Jenacy were doing their best to annoy each other. Jaedin was peevishly telling them to knock it off.
Then magically at dinner today, Jaedin and Nathaniel were practicing their fine shmooz skills:
J: Aunt MB, was I the only one today who didn't get a time out?
MB: Yes, Jaedin, you were so good!
J: Nathaniel and Jenacy both got time outs, but I didn't!
MB: Yep, thank you for being so good!
J: Aunt MB, this dinner is SO good! Mom's GOTTA try it!
N: Aunt MB! Thaaaaank you for making this dinner.
MB: You're welcome.
N: Thaaaank you for making this water cold.
MB: You're welcome.
N: Thaaaaank you for my water and her water and his water!
Grumpy kids all day long, then this at dinner. I should make tuna casserole more often...
