About that time of year...

Well, folks, it's getting to be about that time of year. That's right, Halloween is coming. I'm not as huge on the holiday as Bigred or Brock, but just for the sake of being festive, I may throw in a few Halloweeny posts here and there.

First, here's a... umm... treat? It's a stress ball Bigred found at a dollar store. So relaxing... (blechhh!)

halloween's never been a big fave of mine. i don't do well with suspense or fear. costumes can be fun, though.
the stress ball is kinda fun; it leaves your hands smelling like funny rubber, though.

The stress ball *is* great. Maybe you can't see in the picture, but ti's a gray skull with rats, worms, and cockroaches inside. It's a lot of fun to squeeze. And yes, I do love Halloween! I miss not being in charge of a haunted house.

The fun thing about the stress ball is that when the eye pops, a sweet tasting ocular fluid seeps out. uh. don't drink it.

When i was in grade 11, i was very close to wearing a costume to school. It would have consisted of: sneakers, blue faded jeans, a baseball cap, and perhaps a shirt with a designer name upon its front. I don't know if it would have amused anyone other than myself. [given my actual dress at the time, this *would* have been a bizarre costume]

bigred, i'm sitting here at 12:32 a.m. on Saturday the 14th, thinking, "weren't we going to do something on friday the 13th?" something like a housewarming party, i think. i didn't miss it, did i?

feathersky, free candy en masse kinda loses its appeal when you're hypoglycemic :(

chrisso, thanks for the ocular fluid tip... btw, i thought of your comment tonight as i was helping my roommates look for costumes at a second-hand store. i thought, 'i wonder what chrisso would choose for a costume.' random, but true.
