The longer I live, the more convinced I am that busy-ness does not equate to productive... ness. It's been a very busy week, but I feel I've not been terribly productive in ways that I like to be productive. I've neglected scripture study and made less of an effort at meaningful prayer (waking up late for something, and collapsing into bed late make it hard to focus on bedtime prayers). I haven't slept much, showered much, or had a chance to enjoy good food. Opportunities to build and strengthen relationships have been stymied by the haunting thought of "what I've got to do in 5 minutes." I've been running like a headless chicken. And I'm still lagging behind in homework, etc. It's moments like this that make me want to move to the countryside. In Mexico. And take on a nice, polychronic lifestyle. In my Mexico fantasy, I can ignore any political or cultural problems inherent to the region/living in a new culture, and listen to the sweet sound of absolutely nothing... ok, so maybe there's a mariachi band in the distance... and tortillas and sope shells sizzlin' on the comal...
Enough dreaming. I'm headed to the kitchen.

Don't even threaten that polychromic lifestyle! Those people drive me crazy. When I have the opportunity to schedule crazy time, that is. ;)
What have you been so busy with? Scheduled maintenance for the imminent loss of your car? :)
homework, job, church calling, semi-social life, and the basics (laundry, meals, housecleaning, etc.) PLUS planning for the imminent loss of my car :) i can't wait to lose it...
Haven't showered in a while? I need to get you a new book.
Try toast as a time saver. And check out this link while you're at it.

It was great to see you last week!
I know, it was so great to see you, too! It really made my month to see your face in my window! I wish I could have met with you again before you left. How was the trip back home? You didn't have to 'Fred Flintstone' it part of the way, did you? :)
mmm... maybe I'll go have some TOAST!!!
Barely made it home, but I got a new car yesterday. ...Well, not a NEW car, of course--I work in non-profit--but a classy older car with just one owner and tons of love. I think you'd like it.
yeah toast!
Wow, sounds like you are having such FUN! I wish I could tell you that it gets better when you graduate, but certain people tend to just fill up the empty space with other things to do. You are a good person.
