I'm the third of four kids and graduated with a degree in international development. I've been to Ecuador and Romania on orphan support missions and hope to go to Uganda or Mexico within the next few years on similar endeavors. I did a field study in Guatemala and may someday finish my writeup to the point of publication. My favorite color is periwinkle, and I wear argyle socks with everything. I love to bounce ideas off of people. Please, let me pick your brain. Comments are encouraged.
I have lots of good memories of this video from seminary. It's good to remember the reason we celebrate Christmas. Really it comes down to family. It isn't limited to our immediate family or even our extended families-- but the family of man. It's one of the few things we *all* have in common. We're sons and daughters of Heavenly Father. The birth of our Savior is the beginning of the supreme event that will allow us to stay family.

PS - Bob, I bought a cell phone online yesterday evening. 4 business days till I have it. :)
I love this film and I'm really glad you posted it. This year I feel more in the Christmas mood than I can ever remember. Maybe it's all the Dickens I've been reading or my obsession with Christmas carols...I've been trying to master a few on the guitar all year. Not too good yet, but I'm thinking Christmas 2009 is going to be a really musical one. I don't know what it is, but this year I just feel like a kid looking at the tree and lights on Christmas morning and just about losing your mind...but this year I feel that way about Christ and his miraculous birth and marvelous life and the magnificence of his mission. It's just really something else and this year I feel it. It's no wonder those angels sang--the whole idea is so glorious! Man, I get excited just thinking about it. There's this carol, "Angels from the realms of glory" that really captures my excitement. It's good news--really cool news and I guess I've just got that Christmas feeling. Merry, merry Christmas!
