A: Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves
B: At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names; then goes to their blogs, leaves them a comment letting them know that they have been tagged and invites them to read your blog.
1. One of my pet peeves is stepping on a wet bath mat.
2. I’m mildly hypoglycemic, and when my blood sugar level hits a certain low, I turn into a fire-breathing dragon.
3. I’m not afraid of confrontation when I feel it’s necessary, but I pick my battles, even when they’re not really battles. For example, if I’m arriving at a crosswalk (the kind that’s not at a stoplight intersection) at roughly the same time as a car, and if traffic isn’t busy, and I know it’s going to be one of those “do you go, or do I go?” moments, I pretend to get distracted by something (a phone call, perhaps), turn and take a few steps away from the curb, and avoid eye contact until they go, then I cross the street.
4. I keep unfinished projects out in the open or else I forget about them. That’s one reason my room is so messy. For example, I have a large stack of papers that’s been sitting on my floor for a couple of months now. They’re papers for new insurance policies and instructions for my new phone, etc. I want to look them over before I file them away, but I haven’t yet, so out in the open they stay. I also decided to untangle a huge knot of necklaces in my jewelry box and decided it’s time I got a more effective organizer. But I can’t find a suitable one yet, so my neatly separated necklaces and earrings are still lying on the floor by my door, where they’ve been for at least 3 days now. I think I can relate in a different way than tidier people to the scripture in Isaiah that says “I have engraven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me” – I actually write important things on my wrists so I can see them and be constantly reminded of them (I used to write them on the palms of my hands, but I have a bad habit of resting my chin on my hand, and then I wind up with messages on my face…)
5. I don’t really think in words, but I find that words help me sort out concepts rolling around in my head. So recently I bought 3 large magnetic white boards to hang in my room so I can explore my ideas with both words and imagery (and to provide a canvas for my magnetic poetry kit :).
6. I’m very forgiving. I’ll give people the benefit of the doubt until I absolutely can’t anymore. Sometimes it’ll take me months to finally realize that someone is simply a fink. I recently learned that there is actually a process of analysis in the social sciences that fits this mode of thinking; it’s called Carspecken’s Truncated Pragmatic Horizon Analysis…
I hereby tag... Holly, Timber, Brock, Butterkiss, Bigred, and Orangehouse.
