This week was pretty adventurous. It'll do all you hearts good to know that Roommate C is doing very well and resting at her parents' house now. She is healing nicely and will find out hopefully this week whether they got out all of the tumor during the surgery, or if she'll need chemo therapy. Good luck, C!
Thursday was Personal, Home, and Family Enrichment night at the church, and we shared some fun family Halloween ideas. I dressed up as a pirate and stopped in at the hospital to visit C in full garb afterward. Then I stopped off at a second-hand store and at Wal-Mart in search of cat ears and bright red lipstick for my Catwoman costume for Friday night. I couldn't find either! I'm not sure what was more disappointing - that I couldn't find bright red lipstick anywhere, or that no one even looked at me funny while I was dressed in a sofa-upholstery skirt, bandana, and eye patch...
Friday was a party at my friend's house, and we had a whole slew of Batman villains lined up. I was Catwoman, and my friends were Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy; Joker and a henchman showed up, too. No superheroes arrived to keep us in check, though... I guess it's more glamorous to be a villain these days.
