I think the high temps here are just under the overnight lows in Tennessee. B-b-b-b-r-r-r-r-r-r!
I'm training at my new job, and I love it so far. I still can hardly believe I was hired - I've gotten so used to disappointment in the past 6 months when aiming for jobs that sounded meaningful or challenging. And to be offered the job of my dreams? I'm still a bit dazed.
I signed a contract for housing, and I move in on Dec 1st. I almost feel a little bad about how nice the new place will be. I'll be paying more in rent than I did in college, and I generally don't believe in getting much more than one can get by on (it's the Buddhist in me...). But this feels right, and there's an exercise room in the complex that will save having to get a gym pass, so I can rationalize it as economical.
The friend I'm staying with for now is fantastic, and I've been welcomed into a group of friends (which is a beautiful change - I didn't feel like I had any good friends in Tennessee, outside of Nathan and Timber's clan). I'm so blessed, and I don't feel like I deserve it, really (not that I'm complaining!).
Anyhow, it'll do y'alls hearts good to know I'm alive and kicking in Idaho.

I'm so happy for you. It's crazy that you went to Tennessee to look for a job only to find one in Idaho. I'm glad your closer to home.
Funny how you can weather the cold better when you have a great job. I'll bet if it was that cold in Tennessee you would have thought twice about staying there without a job.
