I'm the third of four kids and graduated with a degree in international development. I've been to Ecuador and Romania on orphan support missions and hope to go to Uganda or Mexico within the next few years on similar endeavors. I did a field study in Guatemala and may someday finish my writeup to the point of publication. My favorite color is periwinkle, and I wear argyle socks with everything. I love to bounce ideas off of people. Please, let me pick your brain. Comments are encouraged.
is 'coming unto christ' the ultimate aim or is treating other people well the ultimate aim. i am not sure i understand the quote, though it is true that i am not that intelligent of a fellow!
I like this quote, too. I don't think I've heard it before. I think it's cool that it's a sign of progression that we treat people better (I'm going to assume that that's what MJ Ashton meant (and yes I know what happens when you assume (how many embedded parenthetical comments do you think you can fit in one sentence?))). I think it hits it right on the head that as we see people for who they are and then treat them that way, we're "coming to Christ", not so much in the sense of coming to where (locality) He is, but coming closer in character to who He is. I don't think the point is so much to stand next to Him (which would still be wonderful) but to become like Him. To be like Him, we act like Him...we become like Him...and as we do, you can tell because it can't be kept in. At least, that's what I think.

That's a great quote, but it dosn't say how we should treat other people, so I'm still doing everything right.
Just keep telling yourself that, quiet elk... ;)
There must be a lot of people out there that aren't progressing spirtually because they have been treating me like crap lately.
Brock, aw shucks...
HP, I'm sorry to hear that. If you're going to be treated as something brown and gooey, you deserve to be treated as fudge (and savored).
But, MB, if I was fudge, I would be tempted to eat off my arm. :)
I am a chocolate fiend.
Thanks for the kind words you guys. Nice to know I'm loved!
Oh, and fudge with nuts, I'd be delish!

Coming to Christ is the ultimate aim. Treating people well and learning to love them as He does is a huge part of the process.
Can I tell you how much I love the bw photos you've been posting lately?
