You know those getting-to-know-you emails you get with all the random questions? Thought I'd post my answers to one, just for fun. Happy Saturday!

1. What time did you get up this morning? 10:30 (I have a night job)
2. Diamonds or pearls? Pearls, I guess
3. What was the last movie you watched? Napolean Dynamite – my sister hadn’t seen it yet… no, wait, Family Man was on TV last night. The last movie I watched in the theater was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
4. What is your favorite TV show? the Tick or the Cosby Show (I don’t watch TV much)
5. What did you have for breakfast? pancakes
6. What is your middle name? Lynne
7. What is your favorite food? chocolate…mmmm….
8. What foods do you dislike? mushrooms, rum-flavored anything, non-muscle animal parts
9. What is your favorite chip flavor? sour cream ‘n onion
10.What is in your CD player right now? “Into the Woods” soundtrack
11. What kind of car do you drive? Huffy

13. What characteristic do you despise? selfishness, unwillingness to consider self as agent responsible for actions
14. Favorite item of clothing? an old pair of flair-leg jeans I’ve had to patch about 20 times... so comfy!
15. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go? back to Romania – I miss so many people!
16. What color is your bathroom? white, although the shower curtain is yellow with colorful bugs on it
17. Favorite brand of clothing? I could care less about brand. I do most of my shopping at second-hand stores. I like to dress like it's 1970. It's all about the polyester, baby!
18. Where would you retire? somewhere quiet – perhaps a suburban region close to the country, where I could garden and commune with nature
19. Favorite time of the day? twilight, when the light is fading, the sky is a periwinkle blue, and the first stars are beginning to twinkle overhead
20. What was your most memorable birthday? This past one was memorable – my roommates threw a small party, and we had a bonfire in the mountains. Most people forget my birthday ‘cuz it’s at the beginning of the school year. It meant a lot to me that they made a big deal out of it.

32. Favorite Holiday? Christmas – it’s a time to reflect on all that’s good and beautiful
33. Do you consider yourself political? no, I avoid participation in politics like the plague (don't get me wrong - I vote and try to be an informed citizen, but politics get very dirty very fast, and I don't like to take part in that aspect)
34. Do you consider yourself religious? yes, very
35. What is the latest book you have read? I can’t remember if it was “Things Fall Apart” by Chinua Achebe or “The Other Path” by Hernando DeSoto (yes, both were for school, not necessarily for pleasure)

Achebe is an interesting read. I had to read it for a class of mine too.

You subjected yourself to Napolean Dynamite again?! wow, you're brave! I would have hit the play button and left the room :) But then again, if I were able to be in UT to do some movie bonding time with C, I'd watch whatever!

Maybe its time to get a new shower curtain if its yellow and has bugs growing on it.... ;)

Love ya!

Thanks, Art *wink, wink, nudge, nudge* You've got a good start on your blog.

Mandie, yeah - Achebe is a fascinating ethnography that packs a punch at the end.

FeatherSky - Napolean Dynamite grows on you. If you don't go into it expecting it to be funny, it's a lot better. It was so good to be with C for a whole weekend!

Capt Caf - The Tick is the ultimate (super?)hero!

I've been in contact with him through email. He's still around. I bet you'll hear from him soon.
I'm glad to hear from you, Mona. You must be busy lately. I hope things are going well.
