It's been a good week. I've been helping put together a conference where undergrad students present their international field-study research. Friday's the last day of the conference. I'm so ready for it to be over. The conference is awesome to observe - some of the presentations were incredible. But it's consumed my life for the past three weeks, and I'm ready to take life back. It's been a great experience. We hired a polynesian restaurant to cater dinners for the presenters. I've never loved coconut so much in my life.
On another note, I'll finally be starting on this year's resolution to get some use out of my running shoes. I'm going running on Saturday. That's the dull part. The unusual part is that I'm going running with a certain co-worker. This should be interesting.
On an entirely different note, Wednesday was Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. I'm giving up sarcasm this year. Again. I hope this year goes better than the last. If there was one thing I could change about my character, it would be the kindness factor (1 Corinthians 13:4). Sarcasm is a lot of things... "kind" is not one of them. Wish me luck.

Good luck on your Lent fast. I'm giving up candy for mine. And, interesting about the co-worker, have fun with running!
I was going to give up something for Lent, but I was informed that no one will take my kids for 40 days. Shoot.
Good luck on the sarcasm. It's what keeps me sane ;)
